Planting and borders

Planting is more than buying plants and putting them in the ground. A landscaper looks at the soil type, the sun and shade in the garden and how much upkeep you want later, and draws up a planting plan: which species, in which combination, so the garden offers something all year and does not stand bare after a single season.

For planting and borders the guide price is € 500 to € 5,000, depending on the area, the plant size and whether the soil is improved or turf is laid too. Mature plants and large hedges cost more than young stock, but give a full picture straight away.

State in your request how much time you want to spend in the garden: that decides whether it becomes a low-maintenance border or a lush garden that asks for a little more attention. Keeping it up afterwards is work for a maintenance gardener.
