For a complete garden the guide price is € 5,000 to € 25,000, depending on size, materials and the amount of earthworks. A bare new-build garden usually starts at the lower end of that band; a large garden with a natural-stone patio, a planting plan and lighting runs towards the top. Accessibility counts: if everything must go through the house or over the fence, hauling in and out costs extra time.

Think about upkeep in advance. A good landscaper asks how much time you want to spend on the garden later and picks the planting and materials to match — so the new garden stays manageable for years. The periodic maintenance afterwards is a separate trade; this project is about the landscaping itself.
